Mesón's Gascón history starts in Salamanca, where the owners of this magnificent restaurant located in an old Catalan homestead in Palol d'Onyar acquired the knowledge and savoir faire that today allow them to prepare their dishes and their most well-known specialities, such as the Iberian cold sausages from Salamanca and the baked suckling pig and kid.
With its spacious dining rooms and charming corners, this warm and classy inn is the perfect place for both big meals and intimate celebrations. It also has at its disposal private dining rooms, one of which is located in the cellar, where guests can enjoy their meal surrounded by the best wines in the restaurant.
The surprises don´t end there. Mesón Gascón offers made-to-order party cakes, available in the restaurant or to take away. They also have a small shop and tasting room where clients can sample and purchase the restaurant’s best products, as well as learn from experts in the field how best to keep and serve them. For guests who buy a cured ham, the inn offers a special private lesson on how to carve it. If desired, they can even prepare it for you by removing the bone.
