“The best dish is not the most elaborate one, but the one which achieves excellence thanks to its simplicity.” The motto of Can Roca d’Esponellà reflects its more than 100 years of experience in the restaurant business. Today, this restaurant, which represents a culinary regional reference for many, is run by the fourth generation of cooks of Roca’s family.

Can Roca d’Esponellà holds true to its origins and tries to make its cuisine adapt to current times while maintaining the traditional Catalan savoir faire. This way, its dishes continue to have that essence of grandma’s dishes, of simple, tasty home-made cooking, without any rush. Today the restaurant uses a traditional wood stove and a charcoal-ilex oven.

This centenary business has everything from an à la carte service to a large offer of different and varied menus to eat in the restaurant or take away. Some of the most popular dishes that you’ll find among its offerings are: cannelloni, Spanish omelette, partridge with cabbage and hare stew.

Remember that you can also book one of its private dining-rooms with capacity up to 50 people, in order to celebrate family meetings or work events (5 people minimum).
