My wife and I took the chance of visiting El Trull d’en Francesc and it was quite a success! We are the gourmet menu, which includes a broad number of starters (7) and a sorbet, prior to a single selected main dish. I felt that the quality was very high and the attention was great, specially for attending as a couple. There were also some guests with a toddler, but I would not recommend families with small children to this restaurant in case you’d like to have a full gastronomic experience. The menu was very complete and tasteful. Adding the link to the menu below:

Excellent food, especially the snails and lovely attentive staff. Not cheap but as expected for the restaurant and what we ate and drank

Faultless! We were taken for lunch on Sunday by friends who have regularly visited over the years. Everything was perfect. The location overlooking the river is wonderful - you don’t want to be sat ‘inside’, you need a table in the room overlooking the river. Service was fantastic (English widely spoken if that worries you). Very course was tasty, the hot Foie Gras to stay sublime. Can’t think of one complaint and can’t wait to visit again. A real treat.

This was our first visit to El Trull but certainly won’t be our last. A really lovely restaurant - delicious and creative menu, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. What more could you need?

Over-priced and touristy, the food and its quality are mediocre (and some plates plainly bad) compared to the normal Spanish restaurant, however the prices are very high in comparison (most likely because of its proximity with France). I also reserved a table by the window and asked again once there, but we were stuck by the door entrance even though there were tables available by the window. Personally I would not recommend, there are many better and cheaper options in and around Figueres!
