Mas Pou Restaurant is located in an ancestral home of the XVI century which retains much of its original structure. It is located in the heart of the Baix Eempordà region, in natural surroundings of remarkable beauty.
The restaurant offers a traditional, popular and familiar cuisine of the region based on the good sofrito and the mince. The food is made with the best quality products.
Among the dishes of their menu, there are some highlighted like the snails or the steak on the stone. It also has dishes for lactose intolerant, allergic people, vegetarians and gluten-intolerant people. It also counts with a group menu, a children menu and a take-away service.
The dining rooms are distributed in different rooms, with rustic decor and a cosy environment. There are private rooms enabled for groups between 8 and 50 people for celebrations or any kind of meeting, and it has a complete and varied wine cellar with the best wine brands (offering also ½ bottle or glasses).
Moreover, now the restaurant has a new area, El Bar del Museu. This area shows the life of the farmers of the county and their tools. It also has a bar service where it is possible to enjoy the typical food with their vermouths, sandwiches, tapas, rations, lunches and dinners. It opens from 10:00 to 23:00 during weekends and during summer.
The restaurant opens from Tuesday to Sunday for lunch, from 13:00 to 16:00, and for dinner, from 20:30 to 23:00 (except on Sunday's nights that it is closed). During July and August, it closes only on Mondays.
