We had a plan to visit Tossa de Mar for a swim session, on a recommendation, and wanted to end the evening with a nice meal. A little research I discovered this gem buried in the wall city of the castle mound. I booked a month in advance, even before taking my trip, and it was a good choice as people were being turned away as we were being seated at 7pm. The place, and atmosphere was very nice, the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. As it was my last meal out before going home, I chose a paella type dish, but with noodles this time. The portions were great. The best out of the four paellas I had in my holiday. The whole evening was great on the part of the restaurant. The only thing that put a cloud over it was some screaming infants on the table inside. No fault of the restaurant. We had a quick, but enjoyable meal and would recommend fully, but do book!!

This is a very good place, recommended to go BUT order one portion of rice to share between 2 persons! We ordered one for each and could not eat. I think the waiter should tell it when taking orders ... impossible to eat this for 1 person only. As result a lot of food went to the trash....:( I would remove one star for this but as the place itself is good, I keep it.

I left La Placeta with a big regret: the regret that I didn't eat in this place every day of vacation! I recommend that you don't make the same mistake as me. With the specification that to be sure, it would be good to book the table. It's usually very crowded, even when it's empty in other restaurants. I ordered pan con tomat, sole fish and beef steak with baked potatoes. It was a treat... By the way, leave room for dessert. Tiramisu with rice pudding, it's something you can't find anywhere and, in my opinion, it's not to be missed
