Cal Rubell restaurant is very old as it was already being run in the beginning of the XIXth century. In 1945, when the war was over, the Catot-Ponsa family, the grand-parents of the current owners, encouraged by their eldest son bought the establishment located in La Vinya Street.
In 1952 Kubala helped the family purchase the house next to the inn, which enlarged it allowing the setting of new rooms and a bigger dining-room, and this was how the business started growing. Little by little and with the good economic conditions from the 60’ and 70’ the inn became the perfect place to spend the summer holidays.
The restaurant is characterized by its traditional Catalan cuisine. It is home-made and with the best quality, innovation and creativity in it. Moreover, the calçotadas are available (with previous reservations) and they serve traditional Catalan farmer’s breakfast. They also have a menu of the day, a children’s menu, a tasting menu, a group menu and food for gluten-intolerant people. They have a take-away service and a deliver service.
Mediterranean landscapes, pleasant and smooth weather, abundance of water and the village’s natural make the restaurant the best choice to pay a visit to. Moreover, it counts with a terrace, where it is possible to enjoy a meal with the fresh air, their own wine cellar and private rooms for meetings and celebrations. Previous reservations are available.
It opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 08:00 to 18:00, except for Fridays and Saturdays that it opens until 00:00 h. It also opens on August.
