The Restaurant Vista Pirineu is open since 1971, with more than 40 years of experience in the sector. It is located in the Vista Pirineu urbanization, in the little wine town of Calders.
Here it is possible to find a home-made and Catalan traditional cuisine specialized in calçots and grilled-meats. That is the reason why their highlighted dishes are the calçots, the pig's trotters, and the rice casserole.
Moreover, they also serve Catalan farmer's breakfast with more than 25 stew dishes and they count with a menu of the day, a group menu, a calçot menu, a children's menu and food for gluten intolerant people.
The establishment accept animals and has a children's area, a terrace, a bar service and a take-away service.
The restaurant opens from 10:00 to 18:00, except for Mondays that it is closed and on weekends it opens from 09:00 to 19:00. On Saturday it also opens at dinner time from 20:30 to 23:00. On summer it opens until 00:00 and it opens at dinner time every day except for Mondays.

A shame for dinner and the staff, we had booked for 9pm, we arrived and they already took a long time to bring the first ones, cold and out of time, if you bring them yourself. There has been half of the table that has been 2 hours Waiting for the first and the others had already finished the first and the second, some were then brought the second and finished the first, the calamari without flavor, the burnt meat (it was black) all this happened, and as long as the staff did not fall short, from minute 1 unpleasant, 0 friendly and 0 professionals. We ordered the dishes inside (without complaining or anything) they took it in a bad way and treated the customer badly, in short: 22 euros per person for a Treat and horrible service.

The service is quite slow, although that is not what detracts from it. The problem lies in the chairs. The material of the chairs with the heat sticks to the legs and overwhelms, in addition to having bars on the back it hurts and they are not comfortable at all. We called to make a reservation and they told us that there are tables but that we will have to wait a bit, so far ok, we turn off the road and arrive at the restaurant. Here the bad manners have started, an old lady who must have been the housekeeper tells us Oops! You will have to wait without even looking at us. He leaves us there with the two kids and a bunch of empty tables. After a few minutes we ask if he knows more or less when we will have to wait and he doesn't know, we wait, with a bad face, as if we are bothering him. I insist, empty tables and overwhelmed by work. He wanted our money but to wait for who knows what, without offering us a drink, or an explanation. Obviously we left with a bad taste in our mouths, just a warning to those who have to detour to go there, to think twice

Very affordable festive menu, 4 starters, 4 second courses and several desserts. Drinks, bread and coffee included for 25 euros. Air-conditioned dining room and large terrace, friendly and cordial staff. We will repeat for sure!
