The Hotel Restaurant Prats of Ribes de Freser (Ripollès) is a family tradition business. It is a little hotel currently run by the fourth generation —it has been passing from fathers to sons— and where it is possible to enjoy the good home-made cuisine.
In its menu there are different dishes like the mountain and see rice, the snails, the cannelloni or the pig’s trotters, among others. Moreover, they have a take-away service, food for gluten-intolerant people and they serve Catalan farmer’s breakfast.

The restaurant opens every day for breakfast from 08:30 to 11:00, for lunch from 13:00 to 16:00 and for dinner from 20:30 to 22:00. During winter, it only opens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Very nice little hotel. My room was facing the river which was very relaxing to listen to while sleeping. Very friendly family, I will come back!!

The Hotel belongs to a beautiful and super receptive family. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, maintaining the local historical tradition, and you have the option of rooms overlooking the beautiful river and mountains. Gemma is very kind and always willing to help and Gil is an amazing cheff who offers menus of the best Mediterranean food. His "papas bravas" and potato chips are the best in the world! Meets expectations for such cheap (65€/room) hotel. Bed was surprisingly comfortable and clean. Room has an oldy style (80's) although it seems it was renovated few years ago, but keeping the old style and old furniture. Plenty of rooms. Probably good to request rooms facing the river (literally under the window) rather the one facing the main road. Breakfast is quite basic (few hams, croassants and donuts) although fair enough for 6€. It also holds a restaurant but we did not try it as there are at least two extremely good restaurants nearby. All together good for 1 or 2 nights.

We had to wait for a while, but comfortly drinking a homebrewed beer in front of a fireplace. The garlic soup could be better, but the eggs with botifarra were great, as were the bbq 'galtes de porc' . If we come back to Ribes de Freser, we will have dinner here again.
