El Moll & Tapes de Palamós restaurant is located in Palamós, a charming fishing city of La Costa Brava.

This restaurant is specialized in rices and tapas, but it also has an extended and varied menu which includes starters, tapas, fish, rice, fideuada, meat, barbecue and an excellent selection of wines and cavas. It also has several menus with prices ranging between 18 and 30 euros, as well as a kid’s menu. Kids have the possibility to order just half of their menu in case the whole one is too much for them.

The establishment has a terrace, a bar area, private rooms for celebrations and events and it also has live shows and music.

It opens every day for breakfast, from 10:00 to 12:00, for lunch, from 13:00 to 16:00, and for dinner, from 19:00 to 23:00. Previous reservations are available through e-mail and telephone.

Palamós is a warm village with a beautiful beach. However, it is not only attractive for these assets, but also for its history, for the remains of the first human settlements in the area date from a point in between the year 2100 and 1500 BC and can be visited, such as the Dolmen de Montagut. Another interesting visit are the remains of the village of the indigetes people of La Punta del Castell, that one can access after having completed a short and pleasant walk. Moreover, given that it is located on the Costa Brava, Palamós is the perfect place to go swimming before or after the meal.

A disappointing and very average eating experience. Indifferent service. Lumpy creme Catalana. Bread was still being baked in oven at end of second course. The fideua - which I was looking forward to - didn’t have the usual seafood flavours. Chef definitely not on it! Overall not a good choice when I was hoping to have a simple tasty lunch - maybe best try the restaurant next door.

The worst service I’ve ever received in any establishment in any country. The meals came out one by one across the space of 2 hours. My young daughter got her patatas bravas tapas 35 minutes after my other daughter received her paella (which also took serval moons to come [but more understandable because of the dish])! The waiter also drop a tub of sauce on my white shorts and shoes. The only thing I received in apology was one napkin. Food was ok though.

An amazing restaurant, reserved a party of 8 and they were very attentive and everyone loved their meals of fish and steak. I recommend the piña crema catalana if you get dessert, it was really good

Fresh seafood, good quality dishes. We came here after seeing the reviews. The razor clams had a little sand in them but was tasty. Mussels were really good and fresh. We had the octopus and the sea bass (llobarro) and they were good too. I look forward to my next visit.
