The Hotel Restaurant Els Caçadors is located in Ribes de Freser, in Girona, at the foot of La Vall de Núria and next to La Molina ski station. In this familiar hotel, they offer the best rooms, moderns and welcoming, for the guests to feel like they are at their own home. Moreover, in their restaurant, the team who are part of Els Caçadors follow their own line of consolidation of recipes based on the product’s quality and on the simplicity in the dishes’ creation.

The cuisine of their restaurant is currently a gastronomic referent in the area. Here it is possible to taste a traditional Catalan cuisine and of market which takes into account even the last detail. Moreover, they prioritize the use of native products of La Vall.

The restaurant is a member of the Fundació Institut Català de la Cuina as recognition of a traditional Catalan cuisine of quality. This way, their menu is wide and varied, but among their dishes there are a few that can be highlighted such as the home-made cannelloni, the paella à la marinière, the baked angler fish or the charcoal grilled lamb. They also count with menus (not available on August and on public holidays): a menu of the day, a children's menu, a group menu and food for gluten-intolerant people.

The establishment has a bar area, where their special selection of gin tonics (over 100 different gins) can be discovered, private rooms for celebrations and events, a playroom for kids, board games or pool or table football and a terrace from where all the beautiful views that surrounds it can be seen. Previous reservations are available through e-mail.

The restaurant opens all days: from 08:00 to 10:30 for breakfast, from 13:00 to 15:45 for lunch and from 20:30 to 22:00 for dinner. It closes two weeks in July and two weeks in November and on Sundays' evenings. For ensuring yourself that it is open, you can check their web page.

We didn't sleep in this hotel but had a wonderful dinner... I would highly recommend this restaurant

We enjoyed our time here so much! The hotel staff is so kind and attentive and they speak many languages. My fiancé and I visited during the Christmas holidays and we loved our stay. The restaurant is phenomenal, the rooftop is beautiful and the moon room with a fireplace was warm and quiet. We had a basic room that included a standing shower with a large luxurious shower head and a double bed. It was clean and comfortable for our stay. We highly recommended this hotel!

We had high expectations for the restaurant, but it really let us down. The food came very fast and waiters seemed stressed and disorganised. The caneloni were tasty but cold and you could see it had been served on the plate long ago, and just quickly heated up. The Remenat de bolets was too salty and the bread was of really poor quality for being a restaurant. The Mató was soaked in way too much honey and the Crema catalana was far from the best in the region. One of us who only ate a main dish was served when the rest were served the starters, weird. We did like the idea of the Km0-water to reduce waste, though. The hotel rooms seemed rather mediocre for the price. Lots of room for improvement! Good luck!

We came for the restaurant, not the hotel. It is difficult to be a good restaurant but it is more difficult to be so good on the long run. Els Caçadors manages to achieve it. Today we had another great experience, both for the place, for quality of every single dish we took and for the service as well. The place was full and still they managed to deliver with an excellent quality. Rice, T-Bone, cod, snails... everything premium and yet a very reasonable price. No doubt it is the best restaurant in town. Tip: if you are a group of 8 people ask for the round wooden table. I liked this place overall, but have to give a lower rating for not having air conditioning. Our night was miserably hot and uncomfortable, even though we had a nice room with a comfortable bed. No screens on the windows allowed mosquitos in, and no A/C meant we were sweating all night. You had to choose between getting eaten or boiling. Otherwise, nice place, with very friendly staff in a cute town.
